ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I’m Jacquelyn Martínez Marushka, an entertainment publicist, brand strategist, and founder of Marushka Media. For more than 30 years, I’ve helped artists, entrepreneurs, and organizations shape their stories and get them in front of the right audiences. Over the course of my career, I’ve led public relations and brand campaigns across music, film, publishing, and nonprofit sectors supporting projects that have gone on to earn Grammy recognition, bestseller status, and lasting industry visibility. Before launching my own agency, I held senior leadership roles at Sony Music Entertainment and Shore Fire Media, becoming one of Sony’s youngest Vice Presidents and its first divisional VP of Public Relations. At the core of my work is a people-first, strategy-driven approach to PR, one rooted in ethical storytelling, thoughtful timing, and building momentum that lasts.
